The youngest members of the Scout family are Beavers, aged from 6 - 8 years old they take part in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
Cubs are young people between the ages of 8 - 10 ½, both boys and girls. The program is structured towards outdoor activities.
Scouts ages range from 10½ to 14, both boys and girls. The program is structured so they have a say in what, when and how they do things.
Explorer Scouts are young people, usually aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family.
